All urban properties in Uttar Pradesh will be linked to the Aadhaar card of the owner. The state government is preparing to implement the Urban Property Ownership Record (UPOR) scheme. This scheme is already in force in Karnataka. After the implementation of this scheme, more than one property, benami property in the state will be identified. Also, tax collection in municipalities will also increase.

The scheme will be applicable in these states.
Currently, most of the municipalities do not have the property ownership data under their municipal limits, due to which there are legal disputes. In Uttar Pradesh, this scheme is being prepared on the initiative of KV Raju, financial advisor to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to state officials, the scheme is still in its early stages and will be implemented in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Meerut and Prayagraj.

The high level committee will be constituted, the
state government will seek technical assistance from the Survey of India and a high level committee will be formed under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer. The committee will include representatives from the Planning, Urban and Rural Development departments and development authorities and municipal bodies. http://www.atskabanahighnoida.co.in/
